The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has organized the "One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition" for 7 years and has successfully attracted many participants from Hong Kong and overseas. The Competition has been extended to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Macao and Beijing, and the Grand Final Competition was held in Nansha District of Guangzhou.
The Competition has become a platform where students can get connected with entrepreneurs and investors. It provides an opportunity for young entrepreneurs from Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao to communicate, cooperate and compete, in which it helps to enhance their mutual understanding. Besides, it facilitates the culture exchange and economic cooperation among different regions. The HKUST will continue to organize the "One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition" this year, and the Student Affairs Office of the University of Macau is continually invited to be the co-organizer of Macao Regional Competition. We wish to cultivate and encourage more tertiary students of Macao higher education institutes to start their business.
