"Dedication to Practical studies, Enhancement of knowledge, Ability and Quality", it is the motto of the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST). Since its establishment, the Educational Development Centre (EDC) of the MUST has been committed to promoting excellent teaching quality, exploring scientific teaching methods, and building an efficient platform, as well as to improving the teaching standards of teachers and developing their teaching and research abilities. With the support of various faculties of the University, the Centre organizes sharing of teaching experiences and academic exchanges among outstanding teachers, and invites experts to hold various kinds of lectures and workshops for teachers and students from time to time, so as to promote the development of university education in terms of both quality and quantity, and to contribute to the cause of higher education in Macao SAR.

Looking ahead, the Centre will continue to pursue excellence in education, focusing on national strategies and the needs of Macao's socio-economic development, promoting development through education, and building MUST into a world-class university.

Established in 2004, the Educational Development Centre of the Macau University of Science and Technology is a specialized division for teacher training and talent development, aiming at helping teachers to master cutting-edge educational theories and teaching methods, and to enhance their teaching skills, researching abilities, and professionalism. Since its establishment, the Center has been adhering to the University's motto of "Dedication to Practical studies, Enhancement of knowledge, Ability and Quality", integrating the quality educational resources of the University's various faculties and colleges, and holding lectures and workshops related to teaching practice and educational research from time to time during each academic year to help teachers develop their teaching philosophy and practical abilities. It also actively engages in exchanges and cooperation with education departments and organizations at home and abroad, as well as local and overseas universities, and organizes various international seminars and summit forums. The University strives to provide comprehensive and efficient education services to its teachers and students, to enhance the quality of education in all aspects, and to create a good learning and research environment for all teachers and students, so as to contribute to the continuous growth of the University and the development of the Macao region.
