The MUST team “MP TEAM” was invited to participate in the Guangzhou Semi-finals (Guangdong, Hong Kong Macau and Taiwan competition) of the first “Global Chinese Cyber Security Skills Competition” in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies on July 15th, 2017. The team, led by the Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology Prof. Li Jianqing, includes the students Chen Xuehai, Li Bohan and Yang Hongrui. During the competition, MUST team members showed their excellent technical skills and the spirit of team work. After more than 6 hours tight competition, the MP TEAM won the third Place prize and enters the finals.
This is the first time that the international cyber security skills competition is held in the region of Guangdong, Macao, Hong Kong and Taiwan. This competition provided a chance for students to compete with the elite talents in cyber security of this region. It stimulates not only students’ passion for learning cyber security, but also their patriotism to the motherland.
