From March 14 to 15, 2017, the two lectures organized by the Law School of the Macau University of Science and Technology, sponsored by the Macao Foundation, were held in M.U.S.T. The lecturer is Professor Zhao Yun from the Faculty of Law, University of Hong Kong, Director of the Center for China Law Studies and Director of the Department of Law. Professor Zhao Yun's main research areas are the outer space law, the dispute settlement, the e-commerce law and the international economic law. On March 14, Professor Zhao Yun gave a lecture on "Interest-based Negotiation and Commercial Mediation" for undergraduates. He began with the difference between the conflict and the dispute and introduced to the students a number of dispute settlement mechanisms in the world, including "convenience mediation", "assessment mediation", mediation steps and techniques. Professor Zhao Yun is very familiar with the dispute resolution mechanism in the Asia-Pacific region. He introduced the development of ADR in various places from the reality of Hong Kong, the Mainland, Japan and other places, and answered the students 'questions in detail. This talk opened up the students' horizons.

On March 15, Professor Zhao Yun and the students of the law school held a discussion entitled "Commercialization of outer space and the development of outer space law", associate professor of law school Zhao Linlin and some graduate students participated in the discussion. Professor Zhao Yun is a well-known expert in space law research, a member of the International Academy of Astronautics on space cooperation research group, and China Space Law Society expert group member. His related research results are in the international leading level. Professor Zhao Yun first introduced the relevant international treaties in the field of outer space and the principle of peaceful development, and pointed out the existing problems and future development trends. Students were interested in the outer space law, and talked with Professor Zhao to interact. It displayed good atmosphere of the discussion and inspired students to learn.
