Introduction of the Institute for Social and Cultural Research

The Institute for Social and Cultural Research was established in December, 2010. The objectives of the Institute are to serve the society and promote the research works on the area of humanities and arts and social sciences. The Institute will make good use of highly skilled and talented persons of the University and integrate the force of scholars and specialists in other countries and areas to form the core research project teams.

The research projects of the Institute need to respond to the needs of the society and community and must be high standard. It not only concentrates on fundamental research, but also focuses on the needs of Macau society and contributes to Macau’s sustainable development. The Institute also co-operates with Macau community and universities worldwide and enhances the connection with the society through different kinds of research activities and seminars.
