The week-long 2018 "Global Money Week" event was successfully concluded on March 16, 2018 by the Macau Financial Association. The event was not only supported by the participation of various secondary schools and universities in Macao, but also received high attention from the Monetary Authority of Macao, various commercial banks and other government agencies and financial institutions. As a participating unit, Macau University of Science and Technology also selected sixteen MSB students to actively participate in this event.
The event was based on a three-day shadow experience in banking work. Students from various colleges and universities included MUST,MPI,CUM were grouped to participate in the work experience activities of many commercial banks, including the Bank of China and Tai Fung Bank. Students had to simulate one-day banking staff. From the beginning of work in the morning，students participated in the whole day’s banking work. In participating in the study, understand the various functional departments of the bank and the businesses involved, and conduct a comprehensive understanding of the work of financial institutions.
In this activity, the students of Macau University of Science and technology showed positive performance, strictly abide by the work regulations, and completed the experience activities better. This activity not only enabled students to apply their knowledge to practice, but also promoted mutual understanding among students from different universities in Macau. It also strengthened the close cooperation between the Macau government, financial institutions and universities and provided financial development for Macau a good opportunity.
