MUST Students of Faculty of Humanities and Arts Won Awards at Microfilm Competition

The award presentation ceremony for “National College Students New Media (Microfilm) Network Competition” was held on December 14 at the Great Hall of Zhuhai. Awards of ten categories were presented to the winners at the ceremony, of which are six main categories including Best Film and Best Director, and four theme categories including “Vigorous Hong Kong”, “Exotic Macau”, “Charming Taiwan”, and “Beautiful Zhuhai”; additionally, ten films won excellent awards. With their work “A Door that Never Closes”, MUST students of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, Xin Jian Ming, Liang Ying Yan, Chen Tian Ji, Wu Si Tong and others won the award in the category of “Exotic Macau” theme.

With China Film Association as the guiding organization, the competition was co-organized by the Center for Network Film and Television of CYLC, China Social Welfare Foundation, Macao Foundation, and Zhuhai Joint Association of Literature and Art, and held by Zhuhai Television. The purpose of the Competition was to provide a platform for college students in the Greater China to demonstrate their talents; ever since it was initiated in March, the Competition has received 500 film pieces from over 100 universities. During the time when the Competition was held, displays of the microfilms and exchange sessions were arranged to take place across universities in Zhuhai and Macau so as to help the college students to fully grasp the different cultural characteristics of the different places.

MUST students of Faculty of Humanities and Arts won the “Exotic Macau” theme award, with their film “A Door that Never Closes”
