MUST has always been upholding the philosophy that scientific research should not only strive to reach the top but also make efforts to ground down to the earth. Those researches that aim to reach the top should break new grounds and make new records in the relevant academic field; this requires that top journal papers that tackle world-level academic projects should be continuously produced; those researches that are meant to reach down to the earth should solve problems that are encountered in the society and always make an effort to make available new social services. The Macau SAR Government has always promoted the diversification of industries and has always encouraged technological innovation and entrepreneurship; this movement of the University in industrialization of innovative research outcomes and science and technology venture will move forward Macau’s moderate diversification of economy and therefore is in line with the developmental needs of the government. In recent years, MUST has been bringing out excellent applied research outcomes and begun to bring them to the market.
