MUST Faculty of Humanities and Arts Visited Jingdezhen Huachao Ceramic Culture and Art Industrial Park and Signed Cooperation Agreement with Yourun International on Internship Base

The signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement on Internship Base between the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, MUST and the Nanjing Yourun International Corporation was held at 11 am on June 12th at the Yourun Art Gallery of the Nanjing Yourun International Corporation. On behalf of the two parties, professor Zhang Zhi Qing, Executive Vice Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of MUST and Ms. Feng Xiao Hong, General Manager of the Yourun International Corporation signed the agreement. In accordance with the Agreement, the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, MUST will establish the “Yourun International Corporation Base for Fostering Creative Talents” and the Yourun Corporation will establish the “MUST Faculty of Humanities and Arts Base for Employment, Exchange, and Internship”. More than one hundred scholars and artists from Nanjing University of the Arts, Xiamen University, and other regions of Jiangsu Province attended the press conference and signing ceremony, including Mr. Zhang Jian Hua, Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Mr. Li Qiang Sheng, Chairman of the Board of Yourun International Corporation, Mr. Xu Ning, General Manager of the Jiangsu Culture Investment Management Corporation, and Guest Associate Prof. Wang Lan, Lecturer Yan Shao Shi, and Lecturer Quan Xi Xi of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, MUST. 

On the same day, jointly organized by the Nanjing University of the Arts and the Nanjing Yourun Contemporary Art Center Limited, the “Heart & Art · Chinese Paintings: Contemporary Renowned Artists Academic Nomination Exhibition” and Opening Ceremony of the Yourun Art Gallery was successfully held. As one of the officiating guests, Prof. Zhang Zhi Qing, Executive Vice Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of MUST attended the Exhibition of the Opening Ceremony of the Yourun Art Gallery, and was invited to cut the ribbons with other guests.

The four-person MUST delegation led by Executive Vice Dean Zhang Zhi Qing conducted an in-depth inspection over the Jingdezhen Internship Base – Huachao Ceramic Culture and Art Industrial Park as was stated in the Agreement, paid a visit to Professor Ning Gang, Vice President of the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute and Renowned Ceramic Artist, toured the Ning Gang Art Gallery, and exchanged views on ceramic art production with Prof. Ning.

The Jingdezhen Huachao Ceramic Culture and Art Industrial Park occupies a land area of 142.36 acres (about 100,000 m2), is located in the central district of the Jingdezhen city, and is adjacent to the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute. The Industrial Park will provide space to be used for teaching, training, internship, and display of works by the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of MUST. Yourun International will regularly invite national and international ceramic art masters to provide professional tutorship at the Park for students of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of MUST by way of giving lectures or giving practical training and tutoring. The Corporation will provide Professional Course Scholarship for the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of MUST to be used for discovering creative ideas and cultivation of innovativeness among students, provide professional tutoring for excellent students, and perform evaluation and implementation for the market development of outstanding design pieces.

The Faculty of Humanities and Arts of MUST hopes that the cooperation with the Yourun International Corporation will enable the students of the art design major of the Faculty to engage in designing of ceramic products so as to uncover students’ creativeness and provide a platform for students to engage in internship, exchange, and career planning, disseminate the advanced innovativeness and design philosophy of the teachers and students of the Faculty to the market and the industry, and pass the refined and sophisticated manufacturing art of ceramics on to the students. In the end, it is hoped that the integration of the idea initiation, design, research, and production of products could be realized so as to make this project a comprehensive platform that has integrated research and design, product development,  international exchanges, marketing and promotion, display of new products and wisdom and intellectual protection for the ceramic art and culture industry, and become an important ceramic art design-education-research-internship base for the art design major of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of MUST.
