Professor C W K Lam of MIAR of MUST serves as Guest Editor for Molecules

Professor Christopher W. K. Lam of the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine, Macau Institute for Applied Research in Medicine and Health has recently been appointed Guest Editor of the journal Molecules for editing a Special Issue entitled “Herbal Medicine Research”.

Molecules is an international, peer-reviewed and open access journal published by the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI AG) of Switzerland. It is devoted to publishing original articles and reviews on synthetic organic chemistry and natural products. This electronic journal is reputed for it is efficient manuscript processing speed: decision of acceptance (or rejection) is usually notified within 24 days after submission, followed by publication on web after an average of 8 days. Its current SCI impact factor is 2.416. This is the second time since 2012 that Professor Lam has been appointed Guest Editor of Molecules. The Special Issue on “Herbal Medicine Research” sets to publish, from August 2015 to January 2016, 15 original articles and reviews on related areas of herbal medicine research. Manuscripts that have been received so far are all on the application of the-state-of-the–art science and technology investigating herbal medicine practiced in different regions and cultures, including herbal Chinese medicine.
