Master’s Talk by Traditional Chinese Medicine Guru and Ceremony for Conferment of Honorary Professorship by Faculty of Chinese Medicine, MUST

Macau University of Science and Technology held a Master’s Talk by Traditional Chinese Medicine Guru and Ceremony for Conferment of Honorary Professorship by Faculty of Chinese Medicine earlier this month. The University had the pleasure to invite renowned mainland Chinese Medicine guru, Professor of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine master Wang Qi to deliver a stimulating talk; President of MUST, Chair Professor Liu Liang conferred the certificate of honorary professor to Professor Wang Qi, noting that this is a great honor for MUST.

The theme for this talk was “Clinical Application of the 3-Dimensional Body-Disease-Symptom Diagnosis Treatment Model”. Professor Wang pointed out that the body diagnosis dimension applies theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine to diagnose the type of the body based on identification of the morphological structure, biological functions, psychological status, and other physiological characteristics, in combination with knowledge on classification of body types, the disease diagnosis dimension could provide an understanding of the pathological characteristics during the entire process of disease development and the patterns of occurrence of the disease, and the symptom diagnosis dimension could provide opportunities to observe the pathological characteristics and patterns of the disease specific to a certain stage at its development.

The Talk stimulated great responses from the audience, who highly recognized Professor Wang’s impressive Chinese Medicine treatment mentality, expressed great interests in the relevant contents, and admired him greatly for the treatment effect of the difficult cases he introduced. Professor Wang was born in 1943, and has been devoted himself to the clinic research of Chinese Medicine for over 50 years; he is a renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine expert, and has accumulated rich experience in clinic treatment, research, and education of Chinese Medicine and made outstanding achievements.

This event was organized by Cross-Strait Scientific Collaboration Center for Chinese Medicine, held by the Faculty of Chinese Medicine of Macau University of Science and Technology, and sponsored by Macao Foundation.
