Director Leong Lai of the DSEJ Visited M.U.S.T., Praising the University’s Role in Advancing Macau’s Education

Director Leong Lai of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (the DSEJ) paid a visit to Macau University of Science and Technology on May 18, 2016; the delegation was warmly welcomed and received by President Liu Liang, Administrative Officer of President ‘s Office Kwong Ying Wa, and Ms. Amy, Chu Oi Mei, Head of Academic Affairs Office, M.U.S.T..

The two parties exchanged views on topics of common interest. President Liu Liang noted that M.U.S.T. fosters talents in accordance with social demands, promotes diverse development of students, and serves the community. Taking space science and technology as an example, President Li Liang expressed hopes that the University could have more opportunities to join hands with local middles schools in promoting popularization of science education, making available activities for middles school students to get to know more about the mysterious space. Director Leong pointed out that given only 16 years, M.U.S.T. had already impressed the community with highly recognized achievements and went on giving high praises to the University’s role in moving forward Macau’s education. Afterwards, the two parties exchanged views on science education, program reform, and student admission of middles schools, wishing to enhance the exchange and tie between middles schools and tertiary institutions.

Other members of the DSEJ delegation include Mr. Ng Vai Hong, Head of the Division of Secondary and vocational Technical Education, Mr. Kong Ngai, Head of the Division of Continuing Education, Administrative Officer, Tang Wai Keong, and School Supervisor, Mr. Guo Xiao Ming.
