SCI journal Frontiers in Pharmacologyappoints MUST researcher as associate editor

Associate Professor Vincent Wong Kam Wai, from the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (Macau University of Science and Technology), was appointed as the associate editor in the editorial board of Ethnopharmacology, a specialty of Frontiers in Pharmacology. He is one of the few invited editors from the cross-strait regions.

Associate Professor Wong is experienced in pharmacological study on traditional Chinese medicines and mechanistic study on autophagy. He has published in high impact SCI journals including Autophagy, Clinical Cancer Research, Cancer Letters, Cell Death & Diseases and Frontiers in Pharmacology. As an associate editor, he would play an integral part in the collaborative Frontiers review process, handling manuscripts submitted to Frontiers in Pharmacology - Ethnopharmacology and ensuring a fair, rigorous and transparent review. The editorial job will help to facilitate the publication work on pharmacological research on Chinese medicines, increase the reputation and contribution of MUST in the international academic research community, and led the global development of Chinese medicines research work in the future trend.

Frontiers in Pharmacology, founded by a group of scientists in 2007, is an open-access publisher, driving innovations in peer review, article-level metrics and research networking. According to The Journal Citation Report (JCR) provided by Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), a quantitative tool for ranking and evaluating journals, this journal has an impact factor of 4.4. The impact factor is one of the important markers to measure the number of times an average article in the journal was cited.

The Frontiers in journal series hosts 54 journals covering more than 350 academic specialties, with a network of over 200,000 leading researchers worldwide.
