On October 24, 2014, Xiaochang Ding, Deputy Director-General of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Yongzhong Song, Party Secretary of Nanjing Normal University, Fuliang Cao, President of Nanjing Forestry University, Xiulin Zhu, President of Suzhou University, Zimei Miao, Vice President of Jiangsu University, Naihua Jiang, Vice President of Nantong University, Lingyi Kong, Vice President of China Pharmaceutical University, Yue Lin, Director of the International Affairs office of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Xingchu He, Director of the Jiangsu Education International Exchange Services center, and Xingyi Zheng, Principal Staff Member of the International Affairs office of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education paid a visit to Macau University of Science and Technology. The delegation was warmly received by President Liu Liang, Vice President Chen Xi, and Vice President Tong Ka Lok of MUST.
At the meeting with the delegation, President Liu Liang first made an introduction to the development and characteristics of the university, focusing mainly on several key research projects and the university’s future development directions. Vice President Tong Ka Lok then introduced to the educational system of the university, pointing out the fact that the university's fast development would not have taken place without its effective combination of educational system and administration system. Deputy Director-General Ding made a brief introduction to the achievements and development of Jiangsu higher education and gave high praises to MUST's fast development, noting that MUST's system is a good example that’s worthy of learning from by Jiangsu higher education and other mainland higher education institutions. The two parties then exchanged souvenirs and took group photos.
Afterwards, the delegation paid a visit to the Excellent Student Works exhibition of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts and the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicines.
