澳科大刘良校长荣膺美国国家发明家研究院院士

article12051145x中国工程院院士、澳门科技大学校长、中药质量研究国家重点实验室主任刘良讲座教授荣膺美国国家发明家研究院(The National Academy of Inventors, NAI)院士殊荣(NAI Fellow)。

美国国家发明家研究院院士是美国国家发明家研究院(NAI)授予在全球范围内大学或非盈利组织机构从事学术研究工作的发明家之最高荣誉,藉以表彰他们的发明创造对提升人类生活品质、促进经济发展及社会福祉所做出的杰出贡献。自NAI于2010年成立以来,共为1228名著名发明家颁授了美国国家发明家研究院院士荣誉,他们来自全球近250所著名大学和非盈利研究机构,总共持有近41,500项美国发明专利。

美国国家发明家研究院院士每年评选一次,2019年度共有168位著名发明家获得嘉许,包括4名诺贝尔奖得者,6人美国国家科技创新奖章或美国国家科学奖章得主,他们来自全球135间研究型大学和非牟利研究机构,共拥有3500项美国专利,研究涵盖了神经行为科学、园艺学、光子学、传统医学等一系列的学科。发明家院士们将于2020年4月11日在美国亚利桑那州费尼克斯赫德博物馆举行的第九届美国国家发明家研究院年度会议中就任。

美国国家发明家研究院主席Paul R. Sanberg教授指出:“今年入选的发明家院士的研究水准给我留下了深刻的印象,他们在各自的领域都备受尊敬。他们研究发明的范围和广度令人震撼,其研究成果正影响着全世界走向一个科学、技术及创造的全新时代。”

刘良教授是2019年港澳地区唯一获颁美国国家发明家研究院院士的学者。刘教授是知名的中医药专家,在中医诊疗风湿病和抗关节炎新药研究等领域成果丰硕,已在SCI学术期刊发表学术论文近230篇,包括Science和Nature增刊、Nature Medicine、Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases、Microbiome 等国际著名期刊,并以第一发明人获国际专利27项。刘教授在中医诊疗风湿病研究领域取得了多项突破性成果,填补了多项国际空白,并于2019年11月当选中国工程院院士。刘教授表示:本人获得此国际殊荣再次说明传统中医药具有极强的科技创新和发明创造潜力,只要充分集成并应用好多学科结合的先进技术与方法开展中医药自主创新和原始创新研究,完全能够做出影响世界并获得世界高度认同的一流成果,中医药走向世界、服务全人类前景光明。
