Macao Centre for Mathematical Sciences

Macau Center for Mathematical Sciences (MCMS) was officially established on March 4th, 2021, supported by the Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) and chaired by Professor Tao Qian.

MCMS has full-time teachers, researchers and distinguished professors with diversified and international background in mathematics, recruited from USA, France, Australia, Hong Kong S.A.R., Macau S.A.R., and Chinese mainland. The Center has been hosting many research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT). We have established academic exchanges and collaborations with experts worldwide, to motivate and enhance our research work to an internationally advanced level. We are enthusiastically welcoming researchers in mathematics join in the Center.

MCMS has fundamental research and applications, and graduate teaching of mathematics. MCMS’s major research cover fundamental mathematical studies of all branches, with main strength in harmonic and hypercomplex analysis and number theory. It focuses on applications in various fields (including system analysis and control theory, image and signal processing) and the applied mathematics (including information security, probability and statistics, financial mathematics, game theory, numerical analysis and scientific computation, fractals and dynamic systems). The Center is establishing the postgraduate programs, and these research objects integrate well with the programs’ curriculum design.

MCMS commits itself into bridging the interaction between mathematics and other disciplines , enhancing and extending the collaboration and cooperation, and contributing to the development of science and technology and society.
