Invited by the assistant dean of the Faculty of Information Technology of MUST, on 8th November 2017, 47 professors and students from the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering of Foshan University visited Faculty of Information Technology, including the vice dean of the school Prof. Chen Weicheng. This is a return visit for the assistant dean of Faculty of Information Technology Prof. Li Jianqing’s visit to the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering earlier the month. During the visit, Prof. Chen Weicheng and the delegation participated a MUST Great Masters Seminar in which the physical scientist and academician from National Central University, Taiwan Prof. I Lin gave a talk with the title “Exploration on practice and cultivate talented people”.
After the seminar, Prof. Li Jianqing held a meeting with Prof. Chen Weicheng and the delegation. After warm welcome to their visit, Prof. Li introduced the discipline construction and some research projects of the Faculty of Information Technology. Prof. Chen said that through exchanges between both parties, mutual understanding is deepened, which laid a good foundation for further cooperation. After the meeting, several cooperative intentions were reached between two sides, such as, research on fiber sensor, image processing, and photoelectric materials, the talent training program of undergraduate students, and joint enrollment of PhD students.
