Professors discussed questions with one PhD student in the seminar.

At the beginning of the seminar, Prof. Du Zhang gave an opening talk. He points out that attending seminars and giving presentations is a very good way to exchange ideas with academic colleagues. Therefore, he hopes that each PhD student should take this opportunity to introduce his research findings and share his research outcomes. Next, 30 PhD students who were enrolled in 2017 presented their research findings and 4 professors evaluated these presentations. The whole seminar lasted for 4 hours and 30 minutes. After the seminar, 3 PhD students were selected to receive 3 research awards, respectively. They are Fangxin Xu (who won the Best Paper Award), Jinlai Zhao (who won the Best Innovation Award), and Junliang Li (who won the Best Presentation Award). Finally, all PhD students and professors attended the seminar luncheon at The Seasons. During the luncheon, FI dean, Prof. Du Zhang, issued research award certificates to the three PhD students and excellent-service award certificates to 7 student volunteers of the seminar including Guangcheng Li.
