Prof. Wang Chao’s topicShaping the future of commercial quantum computer

Abstract:

The slow progress on universal quantum devices limits the further developments of universal quantum computers. Attacking the 1024 bit RSA by Shor algorithm is impractical currently, and the modern cryptography still has strong security. With the quantum device constraints under consideration for the first time, the storage of former registers in the Shor algorithm should be 100 or less qubits theoretically decreased from 1000 or more qubits. Quantum artificial intelligence, as the rapid progress of special quantum computer, is regarded as the new generation computing idea and meets the goal of NSCI. With the wide applications in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence, importance to the influences of quantum artificial intelligence on the big data on internet should be attached. identifying killer-apps for quantum computing is challenging, additionally, it was the first time to use the quantum computer for designing cryptography and it shed an interesting light on cryptography design based on the quantum artificial intelligence which had not been reported anywhere before.finally,we will shaping the future of the application of quantum computing in  Smart City traffic control.

Prof. Chen Nankuang’s topic “Towards cellular-dimensional microsensing in fiber optics

Abstract:

In this talk, the micro fiber interferometers including Mach-Zehnder, Michelson, and Sagnac with the device length of less than 300 um based on core and cladding modes interferences will be introduced for picoliter sample volume microsening. The optical attractive forces from photons and electrons coming from those micro fiber interferometric sensors will also be introduced.

Prof. Zheng Guilin’s topicVPP( Virtual Power Plant) Practice through Energy IOT Construction

Abstract:

Smart Power Grid and Intelligent city are the realization of urban green development and sustainable, it is the important means to make a better living and making urban  construction more humanizing. It is a new episode of electric science from the traditional distribution to the flexible smart IoT distribution,  the intelligent, transparent and the interconnection of the power demand side information is the inevitable trend of the development of the distribution structure. With the help of IoT, intelligent building, intelligent home make the artificial intelligence energy monitoring and control. The new smart grid and DSM system can make the vast amount of versatile electrical loads dynamic balance and coordinated between all kinds of supplies and demands. To transformation of old buildings and new buildings into intelligent ones also create new economic growth point. IoT power grid and DSM system have the characteristics for "smart electrical terminals" echo "energy cloud" with which an energy networking Big Data platform will be formed specially for city management and control. The completion of the platform, will be through the coordination of thousands of households, the ever-changing, diverse power load, in the peak power through the "cloud" big data analysis and decision-making, scientific control of power demand side load, to ensure the balance of power supply and demand, to achieve efficient, green, convenient "virtual power plant", so that each KWH of electricity to play the greatest economic and social benefits.

Prof. Fan Xunli’s topicKnowledge atlas and its application in the knowledge of Chinese culture

Abstract:

For the heterogeneous characteristics of the Silk Road cultural knowledge atlas, this project constructs the heterogeneous knowledge representation model for the Silk Road culture. We build a unified representation for the Silk Road Cultural Knowledge Mapping entities and relations, align the Silk Road cultural knowledge mapping of heterogeneous network entities and relations, and establish the Silk Road cultural knowledge map. We study the entity extraction technology based on the map of the cultural knowledge of the isomeric environment. Based on a preliminary knowledge map of Silk Road culture, an entity extraction model combining Silk Road culture knowledge map and Internet unstructured text information is proposed to enhance the coverage and granularity of knowledge map of Silk Road culture. Based on the combination of complementary Silk Road cultural knowledge map, we use the distributed knowledge representation model to predict the relationship between the new entities and other entities, and provide the basis for knowledge reasoning decision.

Dr Jin Shi’s topicLow-Cost Massive MIMO: From Theory to Practice

Abstract

This talk investigates the low-cost massive MIMO wireless communication in cellular networks by considering many important aspects, including hardware cost, power consumption, and computational complexity. We will start from reviewing the basic massive MIMO characteristics and clarify some fundamental limits that prevent the realization of this technology in practice. Then the framework of the low-cost massive MIMO will be described based on the recent research findings. We will also introduce key components of low-cost massive MIMO that include hybrid precoding schemes, channel estimation techniques, and mixed-ADC receiver scheme. This talk aims to clarify the new features of massive MIMO channels and overcomes the bottleneck problems such as channel information acquisition and complexity of the system implementation. Next, recent results of the implementation of low-cost massive MIMO systems will also be introduced. In addition, this talk will further consider some key problems about hardware imperfections, as well as the performance limits and the optimization.

Associate Professor Weiwei’s TopicGradient-driven parking navigation using a continuous information potential field based on wireless sensor network

Abstract

Wireless sensor networks can support building and transportation system automation in numerous ways. An emerging application is to guide drivers to promptly locate vacant parking spaces in large parking structures during peak hours. This paper proposes efficient parking navigation via a continuous information potential field and gradient ascent method. Our theoretical analysis proves the convergence of a proposed algorithm and efficient convergence during the first and second steps of the algorithm to effectively prevent parking navigation from a gridlock situation. The empirical study demonstrates that the proposed algorithm performs more efficiently than existing algorithms.描述: F:新聞稿4月12日AA1I2594.JPG
