In order to celebrate the 19th Anniversary of Macau University of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Information Technology held a seminar at Block O, Room 702 on 11th April, 2019.Sophomore student Hou Junyi and Junior students Zheng Qingfei and Huang Wanlin from IT faculty shared the progress of their on-going projects. The faculty also invited Dr Ding Yifrom CETC and deep learning solution architect and data scientist Mr Julius Chan to give us talks. Around 70 students and faculty members attended the seminar, including Dean of the faculty Prof. Zhang Du, Assistant Dean of the Faculty Prof. Li Jianqing and Assistant Dean of the faculty Prof. Wong Hon-cheng
Hou Junyi firstly introduced the Smart Campus project "MUST+" and elaborated on the current progress and the subsequent development planning. Then Zheng Qingfei and Huang Wanlin introduced their self-developed wheeled robot system, which includes the system communication, control algorithm, signal output and sensor configuration and reading. After that, Dr. Ding Yi gave a talk with the title “Exploration and Practice of the Development of New Smart City” and Mr. Julius Chan gave a talk with the title “The ERA of AI - Empower Research and Learning”.
