Prof. Zhanchuan Cai’s Team from M.U.S.T. Won the Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award

On May 22, 2023, the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China officially issued the result of the 2022 National Teaching Achievement Award, and the Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) won the 2022 National Teaching Achievement Award for Higher Education (Graduate), making it the only higher education institution in Macao to receive this award. The award-winning achievement of M.U.S.T. is “Innovation and Practice in Graduate Engineering Mathematics Education”. M.U.S.T. is the only institution that completed this achievement, and the award level is second prize. This achievement is hosted by Professor Zhanchuan Cai, the Assistant Director of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Innovation Engineering, and the members include Assistant Professor Ting Lan and Assistant Professor Ben Ye. The award indicates that M.U.S.T.’s talent training, teaching construction, teaching reform, and education and teaching achievements have been highly recognized by the national peer specialist, and it is a full affirmation of the education and teaching standards of M.U.S.T.

Being approved by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, the National Teaching Achievement Award, presented every four years, is the highest and most influential national teaching award, aiming to reward teams and individuals who achieve remarkable teaching results in the field of educational teaching, practice, and research in China. The 2022 National Teaching Achievement Award includes four categories: basic education, vocational education, higher education (undergraduate), and higher education (graduate), and each category is judged separately. As the only national award in the field of education in our country, the National Teaching Achievement Award is highly valued and widely concerned by schools and educators across the country, representing the highest level of national education and teaching.
