Warm Notice: Precautionary Measures of COVID-19 in Dormitory during Lunar New Year in 2021 Academic Year

On account of the instability of the pandemic, many local cases recently occurred in the Mainland, and some areas were classified as medium or high-risk areas. In response to the appeal of the authorities of both the country and Macao S.A.R. on reduction in mobility during Lunar New Year, try to stay in Macao during Lunar New Year and avoid the unnecessary outbound travel so as to make possible effort to curb the spread of the virus. It is now advised that all students should take your own health and studies as your top priority, should avoid leaving Macao and minimize cross-border travel, always pay attention to your health and stay in campus to study during Lunar New Year.

In order to provide resident students with safe and comfortable living environment to study, the student dormitories have the following measures. Please be sure to cooperate. If the novel coronavirus spreads as a result of providing false information or concealing information of travel and medical history, students must bear corresponding legal liability.

Notice when entering dormitory building

  1. Take your temperature at the "infrared temperature monitor", and have the temperature reviewed manually if necessary.
  2. Present "Macao Health Code"*
  3. Present "Checking route in 14 days"*

Notes for health management of resident students:

  • All resident students must log in "MUSTCheck" to record your location, and log in WeMust Student APP to fill out the "Health Declaration" to report where you are and your health situation before 11a.m. every day.
  • Students living in campus dormitory are required to take attendance and temperature measurement every night from 20:00 to 23:00 in accordance with the "Guidelines for Student Attendance and Temperature Measurement in The Evening".
  • If you have fever (body temperature is 37.5°C or above), fatigue, dry cough, or other symptoms of respiratory infections, please immediately report to on site dormitory staff.
  • Resident students should avoid leaving Macao, and should try to stay in their own rooms to manage their health, refuse visitors to visit or stay, avoid eating at the same table with others, minimize the chance of contact with others, and reduce the risk of infection.
  • Parents and other visitors of resident students are not advised to enter dormitory. In case of exceptional circumstances, it is necessary to enter the dormitory to support unexpected situations. Parents and other visitors are required to have temperature measured and present "Macao Health Code" (green code), "Checking route in 14 days" (green card) and wear masks.
  • The Multi-function Room in the dormitory is limited opened. Except for the resident students of their own block, all other users are required to present "Macao Health Code" (green code), "Checking route in 14 days" (green card), have the temperature measured and wear masks, and provide the information for application. It is also necessary for the responsible person to lead the way in. The responsible person needs to know whether the students have been to the medium or high-risk area in 14 days.

Always pay attention to your health

  1. Pay attention to personal and environmental hygiene. Wear a mask when walking in public areas. Wash hands frequently either with water and soap, or rub hands with alcohol-based hand rub.
  2. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue, elbow or sleeve when sneezing or coughing. Wrap before disposing the used tissue in a covered dustbin.
  3. Maintain good indoor air circulation, open windows more often for ventilation, and maintain the ventilation system in good condition. When using the washing machine, please use laundry disinfectant at the same time to ensure hygiene.
  4. After using the toilet, close the toilet lid before flushing and wash your hands thoroughly. Note that the pipe is unimpeded and there is no leakage at the pipe, and pour certain amount of clean water into the floor drain every day.
  5. Keep good living habits with regular exercise to boost your immunity.
  6. Maintain physical and mental health. If you have emotional problems, please contact the Counseling team of Student Affairs Office.

*Present "Macao Health Code" and "Checking route in 14 days"

  1. Residents can enter the dormitory with "Macao Health Code" (green code), "Checking route in 14 days" (green card) and normal temperature.
  2. Residents holding "Macao Health Code" (yellow code): residents must comply with epidemic prevention measures (implementation of quarantine measures if necessary), record self-temperature twice a day, and implement self-health management for 14 days. During this period, after two times of nucleic acid test with a result tested negative, the yellow code turns green, the temperature is normal and the "health monitoring record form" is verified, then self-health management can be completed.
  3. Residents holding "Macao Health Code" (red code) or "Checking route in 14 days" (red card, orange card or yellow card): residents are not allowed to enter the dormitory.
