Associate Professor Yu Guo from the Faculty of Humanities and Arts (M.U.S.T.) Won the 2022 Teaching Ideas Award from The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication

Recently, the results of the Teaching Ideas Award Competition held by the Mass Communication and Society Division of The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) were announced. Associate Prof. Yu Guo from the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) won second place in the competition. 

Established in 1912, the AEJMC is currently one of the most important organizations for journalism and communication education. It is dedicated in promoting education for journalism and communication and nurturing visionary communication studies. As a vital part of the AEJMC, the Mass Communication and Society Division organizes the Teaching Idea Award Competition annually to encourage outstanding teaching methods and innovative ideas from journalism and communication educators around the world.  

The report submitted by Dr. Guo was titled “Multiple E-teaching Platforms Integration and Assignment Design in the Context of Covid-19: Taking teaching practice in the PR and IMC as an example”. Dr. Guo first conducted in-depth interviews to understand the difficulties faced by journalism and communication practical courses. Then, based on investigating teaching cases, he proposed a method to integrate multiple e-teaching platforms and promote assignments designed to ensure teaching quality.
