On October 17, 2016, a delegation of Zhuhai Zhongzhu Group Holding Limited and Zhongzhu Healthcare Holding Co., Ltd. led by Chairman Xu De Lai of the Zhongzhu Group paid a visit to Macau University of Science and Technology; the delegation were warmly received and welcomed by President Liu Liang, Vice President Jiang Zhi Hong, and Dean Zhu Yi Zhun of School of Pharmacy, M.U.S.T..

During the meeting, President Liu Liang extended thanks to Chairman Xu De Lai for his visit to the University, and noted that M.U.S.T. ascribes great significances to education of talents and scientific research, aiming to transfer knowledge to productivity and make efforts to advance industrialization of research outcomes so as to feed back to the community and contribute to economic development. Chairman Xu De Lai acknowledged the points made by the president and praised M.U.S.T. for its impressive accomplishments in education. Chairman Xu also gave an introduction to the historical development of Zhongzhu Group and Zhongzhu Healthcare, noting that Zhongzhu will continue to provide great support for development of respectable social causes so as to give back to the society.

Before attending the meeting with the university, Chairman Xu De Lai also attended the M.U.S.T. Fair for Transfer of Research Outcomes, and signed cooperation agreements with M.U.S.T.. During the Fair, Zhongzhu Healthcare Holding Co., Ltd. donated “Zhongzhu Healthcare Special Grants” to the University, a total of five million RMB, 1 500 000 RMB of which will be used to set up a “Zhongzhu Healthcare Scholarship” to be awarded to excellent undergraduate students and graduate students of the Faculty of Chinese Medicine and the School of Pharmacy of M.U.S.T., and the remaining 3 500 000 RMB will be used to award outstanding researchers of the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine. President Liu Liang expressed gratitude to Zhongzhu Healthcare for their support and donation, hoping to further the collaborations of the two parties to greater lengths and make joint efforts in industrializing research outcomes and serving the community.

Other members of the visiting delegation included board member of Zhongzhu Healthcare Holding Co., Ltd. and Vice Chief Executive, Ms. Luo Shu, Director Yang Jing Sheng of the Medicine and Pharmacy Holding Center, Manager Xu Yan of the Department of Hospital Management, and Manager Huang Min He of the Medicine and Pharmacy Holding Center.
