Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) at Macau University of Science and Technology held the 10th Anniversary banquet with alumni in Zhuhai Charming Holiday Hotel on May 5, 2017. Alumni across the country together with faculty members and students, approximately 150 guests, had a great reunion at the banquet.
The reunion not only reinforced the tie among alumni, but also strengthened communication between teachers and students, and enhanced the sense of belonging of alumni to the alma mater. At the banquet, education, research, and scholarship ideas were exchanged, carrying on the excellent traditions of the University. It provided opportunities for alumni to encourage each other to make innovations in their careers and achieve joint development.
Han Xue Fan, a student major in Hospitality Management, sang a song to warm up the banquet; Senior Lecturer Yang Chieh Yun and Assistant Professor Zhang Meng recited a poem composed in celebration of the 10th anniversary. Two alumni from Changzhou and Macau, shared their memories at the University, extended thanks to the teachers for their hard work, and expressed best wishes and blessings for the future development of FHTM. President of the 5th and the current Students’ Union of FHTM shared the history and planning of the FHTM Students’ Union. Finally, Dean of FHTM, Professor Xie Philip Fei Fan delivered a speech to express gratitude to the faculty and students for their tremendous work over the past years, and encouraged them to unite and contribute their own shares in developing the FHTM into an energetic and vigor faculty. He also encouraged the alumni to exert what they have learned, fulfill their strengths, and create and embrace new glories together with the Faculty.
The banquet was filled with warmth and love; the faculty, students, alumni, and guests had a great time to strengthen bonds and shared great memories. They expressed best wishes to FHTM for a brighter future.
