Cultural and Eco Tour in Taiwan
A group of students from MUST have visited Taiwan for 8 days, during which they have been to Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Kending, Taichung and Taipei. The purpose of this student program is to provide the opportunity for Macau students to have a better understanding of cultural-tourism and eco-tourism. Meanwhile, they have also participated in activities and course held by two universities in Taiwan, which are National Pingtung University of Science and Technology and National Chung Hsing University, aiming at learning practical skills and establishing the relationship between Taiwan students and Macau students.
National Pingtung University of Science and Technology is located in Pingtung, which is one of the largest university in Taiwan. When visiting NPUST, the students had taken part in a cooking class, which was taught by a famous chef in Taiwan, learning how to prepare Taiwan style dishes. After class, all of the students have made three different dishes and got a certificate offered by the NPUST.
National Chung Hsing University is located in Taichung. NCHU owns four experimental forests located in Taipei County, Nantou County, Taichung County, and Tainan County, respectively. NCHU also owns two experimental farms located at Wu-Fung and Wu-Jih in Taichung County. Our students had visited the College of Management, the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Office of International Affairs and the Experimental Forest.
Besides the activities in Taiwan universities, our students had also been to some famous scenery spots and attractions in Taiwan, including National Palace Museum, National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, National Museum of Marine Biology & Aquarium and the Sun Moon Lake. Through this tour, the students have known more about Taiwan, as well as cultural-tourism and eco-tourism. It is a good chance for them to communicate and exchange ideas with students and professors outside Macau.
