In order to let the postgraduates to adapt the learning life in Faculty of Law, a Study Guidance Seminar was held on 11 September. Professors and freshmen from Faculty of Law were participated in the seminar.
Seminar Venue
As the host of the seminar, Associate Professor Wang Chuanhui, Master Program Director, shared the preparation of the legal studying life and explain the legal issues which students have to be aware of while studying. He also summarized the study methods of the postgraduates and recommended them to integrate learning into their lives. Besides, Professor Wang mentioned that legal thoughts can be applied to analyze problems in different kinds of scenarios in our life which could train up yourself of how to become legal professions.
Assistant Professor Xue Wenchao explained 4 points to the students:
“What are postgraduates?”, “What is legal study?”, “What are the regulations of legal study” and “What are the methods of legal study”. He also shared the procedures and technic of how to compose an outstanding thesis.
Assistant Professor Peng Yunpeng believed that self-discipline and persistence are the most important traits which students have to possess.
Faculty of Law invited a Master graduated student and a current Doctoral student to share their own experience to the freshmen. They suggested the freshmen to get a balance between the law study and other interdisciplinary subjects. They also recommended the freshmen to learn the English well and to participate in extracurricular exchange programs which could expand their school and after-school life.
The seminar was ended successfully under the laughers of the professors and the students.
