On the morning of March 24, 2023, a donation ceremony for the Faculty of Law was held in N101 of the university. The event was organized by the Faculty of Law of Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.), co-organized by the M.U.S.T. Alumni Association and the M.U.S.T. Faculty of Law Alumni Association, with support from the M.U.S.T. Foundation
Chiang Siuling, Chairman of the M.U.S.T. Alumni Association, and Tang Xi, Vice Chairman, as well as Fang Quan, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Xie Gengliang, Program Director, Lao Chakkuong, President of the Faculty of Law Alumni Association, Chang Sanchi, Chairman, Hoi Peng, Vice Chairman, Lam WaiKun, Secretary-General, Xia Lu, Deputy Secretary-General, Lam Weng Tim, Vice Chairman of the Macau Anti-Money Laundering Professional Association, and more than a hundred law students attended the event.
Over the past 23 years since its establishment, the Faculty of Law has produced outstanding alumni who have played important roles in various fields. The donor, Lao Chakkuong, is an alumni of the Faculty of Law and the President of the M.U.S.T. Faculty of Law Alumni Association. In 2021, Lao Chakkuong made his first donation to the Faculty of Law, which led to the establishment of the "M.U.S.T. Faculty of Law Alumni Scholarship" to recognize academically excellent law students and encourage them to pursue further studies at prestigious law schools around the world. The inaugural recipients of the "Faculty of Law Alumni Scholarship" were honored at the university's 2022 Institutional Scholarship Award Ceremony. This year, Lao Chakkuong once again donated MOP 100,000 to his alma mater, providing strong support for the continuous development of the Faculty of Law and helping fellow students achieve outstanding academic accomplishments on their educational journey.

Since its establishment, the Faculty of Law has been dedicated to cultivating professionals who possess a strong belief in the rule of law, moral integrity, and a sincere commitment to serving society. Today, outstanding alumni can be found in various parts of the world. It is hoped that alumni will continue to pay attention to and support the development of their alma mater's various endeavors, working hand in hand with the university to create a better future. During the anniversary celebration, alumni of the Faculty of Law returned to the campus, reporting on their recent developments and expressing their gratitude for the enjoyable and rewarding time spent studying at the Faculty of Law.
The Faculty of Law will continue to follow the progress of each graduate and welcomes alumni to return to the university on the annual Alumni Homecoming Day to share their experiences and discuss their post-graduation studies, life, and career development.

I am delighted to receive this recognition and reward from M.U.S.T. It not only validates my undergraduate academic journey but also demonstrates the care and encouragement provided by the M.U.S.T. Faculty of Law Alumni Association for graduating students. The excellent learning environment that M.U.S.T. has provided us over the past four years, the meticulous support from the faculty members, and the solid foundation of knowledge laid down in the Faculty of Law have played a vital role in my current educational path. My gratitude goes beyond the valuable scholarship that relieves my financial burden during my study abroad; it is also a heartfelt appreciation for the continuous support that senior alumni have provided to their juniors. I am extremely grateful for the recognition and encouragement from the Faculty of Law at M.U.S.T. in awarding me the Alumni Outstanding Student Scholarship. I would like to express my gratitude to all the faculty members for their guidance in my studies. I truly cherish the excellent and open academic exchange atmosphere at M.U.S.T. As a local doctoral student in the Faculty of Law, I deeply feel the challenges of studying alongside outstanding mainland Chinese students. However, through these interactions, I have also been inspired in my academic research. Being awarded the Alumni Outstanding Student Scholarship is an honor and a testament to the support and encouragement I have received from the Faculty of Law. I still remember the words of advice given by the faculty members at the "Gateway to the Doctoral Program in Law" orientation ceremony when I first entered the doctoral program. The phrase "learning through questioning" has left a deep impression on me. Guided by practical problems and legal methodology, I embarked on the journey of doctoral research, which has been filled with both hardships and joys. I feel incredibly honored to be selected as a recipient of the Alumni Outstanding Student Scholarship. This recognition serves as great encouragement and motivation for me. I want to express my gratitude to the university, the faculty, and the generous alumni who have made this honor possible. I will carry this honor with me as I continue to strive for excellence.
