Prof. Liu Liang introduced the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicines to the guests.
On the afternoon of August 21st, 2015, a delegation led by Mr. Shang Yong, Communist Party Secretary of China Association for Science and Technology, visited MUST. The guests were warmly received by Prof. Liu Liang, President of MUST, Prof. Jiang Zhi Hong, Associate Vice President of MUST, Prof. Chan Kwing Lam, Director of Lunar and Planetary Science Laboratory, Assistant Prof. Zhang Xiao Ping, Course Coordinator, and Ms. Lou Lai Chu, Deputy Administrative Officer of Research and Technology Administration Office of MUST.
Prof. Liu Liang expressed his gratitude to Chinese government, China Association for Science and Technology, and experts and scholars from the Mainland China for their support to MUST. He introduced the development of the university, emphasizing the school’s philosophy of “Quality, Innovation and Efficiency”, and its effort to achieve excellent teaching and research, and promote internationalization in order to develop the university to be the biggest comprehensive university in Macau and one of the top 100 young universities in the Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Prof. Liu also remarked that the university would draw on the policy of “teaching and research are equally important” to strengthen the teaching and research teams, cultivate more talents who would dedicate themselves to the development of the country and Macau, apply scientific and technological achievements in production, and strive for the long-term prosperity and stability, and multi-economic development in Macau. After Prof. Liu’s impressive introduction to the school’s education, administration and talent recruitment, Mr. Shang Yong praised its teaching philosophy and the policy of attaching equal importance to teaching and research.
Accompanied by Prof. Liu, the guests visited State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicines, and Lunar and Planetary Science Laboratory – Partner Laboratory of Key Laboratory of Lunar and Deep Space Exploration, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The visitors also included Mr. Ren Fu Jun, Director of CAST General Office, Mr. Chen Jian, Vice Director of CAST International Affairs Department, Mr. Ning Fang Gang, Director of Secretariat of CAST General Office, Mr. Yang Rong, Director of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs Office of CAST International Affairs Department, Mr. Xu Jun, Director of Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Macau SAR, and Mr. Li Jian Qing, Council Member of Macau Association for Promotion of Science and Technology.
