Chair Professor Tang Ze Sheng Won Lifetime Achievement Award by CCF

The China Computer Federation (CCF) awarded Chair Professor Tang Ze Sheng the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award to celebrate his extraordinary achievements and tremendous contributions to the computer field. The award presentation ceremony was held in Beijing on January 14, 2017. Chair Professor Tang Ze Sheng is one of the founding members of Macau University of Science and Technology; he held important positions at M.U.S.T., including the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Vice President and Academic Advisor of M.U.S.T..

The Lifetime Achievement Award of the China Computer Federation is an award conferred by the Award Committee of the CCF to honor senior scientists who are above 70 years old, have made remarkable achievements and contributions in the realm of computer, and have been widely recognized by the peers and experts of the filed. The award is the highest and also most important award of the CCF.

Mr. Du Zi De, Secretary of CCF, noted that Chair Professor Tang Ze Sheng has been a pioneer in the research of computer graphics, CAD technology, and scientific visualization, and has generated a series of innovative achievements in theory, methodology, and techniques, which have been widely applied in several industries such as medical treatment, manufacturing, climate science, and environment; his efforts and achievements have greatly elevated China’s international status in the research field of computer graphics.

On behalf of M.U.S.T., President Liu Liang sent out the warmest and sincerest congratulations to Chair Professor Tang Ze Sheng, noting that his winning of the CCF Lifetime Achievement Award represents the high recognitions by the community to his merits and that the entire university holds high respect and admirations for him and his achievements and feels extremely proud of him.
