The Macau University Fencing Championship was held in the gymnasium of the Macao East Asian Games from 27th to 28th November ,2021. The members of the fencing team of the Macau University of science and technology have clear goals, forge ahead and strive for the top. It embodies the positive, upward, United and enterprising sports spirit and shows the good mental outlook of the members of our school's fencing team. The fencing athletes of our university also take this opportunity to learn from each other and benefit a lot.
Many teams participated in the competition. Experts gathered and the team members of major schools fought against each other. The competition adopts the group competition system and elimination competition system. Our school participated in five events: Men's foil, men's epee, men's sabre, women's epee and women's sabre, with a total of 21 members participating. Among them, after the first competition day, the fencing team of our school won two gold and one bronze. Luo Shunyuan and Shen Guoyang reached the finals and won the gold medal of women's epee and men's Sabre respectively. Huang Beixi also won the third place of women's epee. On the second competition day, the female fencers of our school's fencing team also won two medals, of which Zhou yingcen won the second place and Wu Yue won the third place. Han feihou and Cao Chi defeated the strong enemies and won the second place in men's foil and the third place in men's epee respectively. After two competition days, the fencing team of our school won medals in each competition. With the goal of never giving up, doing our best and winning glory for the school, each participant sweats heartily on the fencing field to add glory to the fencing team of our school.
The members of the fencing team of Macau University of science and technology unite as one, participate and enjoy the competition, and achieve friendship first and competition second. After the game, our teammates help each other, guide each other and practice with each other. They are both good teachers and good friends. The members of our school's fencing team follow their hearts and always maintain their love of fencing. Even when the epidemic affects the postponement of the game, the members still insist on training and never relax. During the Macau University Fencing Championship, the members of our school's fencing team gained a lot of experience, so that the future training of the fencing team has a more clear focus. These experiences will eventually become a stepping stone to the success of the competition, and their efforts will be rewarded. We look forward to our school's fencing team's soaring and making further achievements.
