The Faculty of Medicine will hold a public health engagement event titled “Small Bites, Big Threats: Mosquitoes, Ticks and the Diseases They Carry.” This public health engagement event is led by Year 2 MBBS students and aims to raise community awareness of several important vector-borne diseases, including Dengue, Zika, Japanese Encephalitis, Chikungunya, Lyme disease, and Scrub Typhus. The event will feature poster displays as well as interactive discussions with our medical students focusing on disease transmission, symptoms, and simple but effective prevention measures.

The event seeks to enhance public understanding of common vector-borne diseases and promote health awareness in the community. It is open to members of the public, healthcare professionals, and community groups, providing a platform to learn and exchange knowledge on disease prevention.
