Dr. Garry Tan is a Professor at UCSI University, Malaysia, specializing in mobile commerce, consumer behavior, and social commerce. Dr. Tan has received Clarivate Analytics' "Highly Cited Paper" and "Hot Paper" honors in 2020 and 2022. Elsevier ranked him among its Top Cited Authors for four consecutive years (2014–2017). He was honored as a Top 1% Reviewer globally by Publons on three occasions, and received Malaysia's National Outstanding Researcher Award in Mobile Commerce. His work has repeatedly earned "Most Downloaded" and "Most Cited" article awards across leading journals in information systems and management.
