MUST Launches a New Program: Doctor of Education (EdD)

Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) is pleased to announce that it has officially received registration approval from the Macao S.A.R. Government on May 6, 2025, to offer the Doctor of Education (EdD) program. We are excited to begin enrolling students for this program commencing from the fall semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Online applications will be open from now to June 27, 2025. As globalization continues to progress, MUST is leveraging its unique strengths to offer the Doctor of Education program. Our aim is to groom future educational leaders who possess both a global outlook and local wisdom. This program seeks not only to further the development of academic disciplines but also to assist in the growth of Macao S.A.R.’s, the Greater Bay Area’s, and the country’s educational sectors while meeting the societal demand for such talent. Students of this program will develop the professional skills and research prowess necessary for teaching and academic management positions across primary, secondary, and higher education sectors. We foster their capacity to observe, scrutinize, and evaluate major educational issues. Moreover, our focus on international cooperation allows us to establish solid relationships with universities worldwide, opening up a plethora of diverse learning and exchange opportunities for our students.

At University International College (UIC), we are committed to offering multidisciplinary training programs led by an international teaching team. Our goal is to nurture well-rounded liberal arts talents who possess both foreign language proficiency and professional knowledge. Our range of degree programs includes three tracks of Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language Studies (English, Portuguese, and Spanish), three tracks of Master of Foreign Language Studies (English, Portuguese, and Spanish), a Masters and a PhD in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, PhD in Creative Writing, and Master of Education (MEd), Doctor of Education (EdD), PhD in Education. In the World University Rankings 2024 by subject from Times Higher Education (THE), the subject area of UIC’s programs- Social Sciences is ranked 251-300. Additionally, in the comprehensive Social Sciences category of the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database, Social Sciences (General), proudly stands among the global top 1%.
