2025 BUPT - MUST "Artificial Intelligence Training Camp" Officially Launched

On August 19, 2025, the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) and Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) jointly launched the "Artificial Intelligence Training Camp" as part of MUST’s Summer Course Program. Held at the MUST campus, the program welcomed over 50 undergraduate students from both institutions, aiming to foster academic exchange, deepen collaboration, and explore cutting-edge knowledge in artificial intelligence.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Jie Yang, Party Secretary of BUPT’s the School of Artificial Intelligence, and Prof. Jianqing Li, Assistant Director of the Faculty of Innovation Engineering - School of Computer Science and Engineering at MUST, alon with participating instructors and students.
Prof. Jianqing Li extended a warm welcome to the attendees on behalf of MUST and provided an overview of the University and its School of Computer Science and Engineering. He emphasized that the joint participation of students from both universities would promote mutual learning and progress, and expressed high expectations for the collaborative experience in the days ahead.
Prof. Jie Yang thanked MUST’s generous support and introduced BUPT’s background and its School of Artificial Intelligence outlining the summer program’s goals, core content, and specific requirements. She encouraged students to seize this learning opportunity, engage with enthusiasm, and diligently acquire theoretical and practical skills in artificial intelligence.
Following the ceremony, Associate Prof. Si Li from BUPT delivered the program’s first lecture, titled "The Evolution, Current State, and Future of Artificial Intelligence Technology.” The session was met with enthusiasm by the students.
With the joint efforts of both universities, the training camp is set to achieve great success, advancing student’s understanding of AI while strengthening ties between BUPT and MUST. The program also reflects the collaborative spirit and shared aspiraions of students from Beijing and Macao.
