MUST to Confer Inaugural Honorary Fellowships upon 5 Distinguished Individuals

The title of Honorary Fellow is conferred upon distinguished individuals in recognition of their outstanding achievements and significant contributions to the University and society. Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) will confer its inaugural Honorary Fellowships upon five distinguished individuals: Ung Si Meng, Ma Iao Hang, Ung Pui Kun, Su Hsiang Mei, and Chen Chih Ling Linda, in recognition of their outstanding contributions in sectors such as economy, culture, education, and healthcare. The Conferment Ceremony will be held on November 29, 2025.


Ung Si Meng

Mr. Ung Si Meng has held numerous public and institutional roles including Member of the MUST Foundation Board of Trustees, Deputy to both the 9th and 10th National People's Congress, and Deputy to the 8th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress. He also served as a Member of the Macau Basic Law Consultative Committee, Member of the Presidium and Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Celebrations of Macao's Return to the Motherland by Compatriots from All Walks of Life in Macao, Member of the Selection Committee of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government, and Member of the Chief Executive Election Committee for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd terms of the MSAR. In 2002, he was awarded the Silver Lotus Medal of Honor by the MSAR. Actively engaged in community service, Mr. Ung participated in the establishment of the General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macau in 1983. He currently serves as Honorary President or Permanent President of several social organizations, including the General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macau, the Macao Cheong Hong Music Club , and the Macau Artist Society, actively promoting local social development in Macao and cultural exchanges within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region.

Ma Iao Hang

Mr. Ma Iao Hang currently serves as a Member of the MUST Foundation Board of Trustees, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CAM - Sociedade do Aeroporto Internacional de Macau, S.A.R.L., Chairman of the Presidium of the General Meeting of Teledifusão de Macau, S.A., President of the Sports Olympic Committee of Macau, China, President of the Federation of Macau-China Sports General Associations, and President of the General Association of Athletics of Macau, among other social roles, making outstanding contributions in areas such as Macao's aviation industry, mass communication, and sports development. He previously served as a Member and Standing Committee Member of the 7th to the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Hubei Provincial Committee. He has been awarded the 1999 Medal of Merit for Industry and Commerce by the Macao Government, the 2010 MSAR Medal of Merit for Sports, recognition as an Outstanding CPPCC Member of Hubei Province in 2022, and in 2024, the General Association of Athletics of Macau under his leadership was awarded the MSAR Medal of Merit for Sports.


Ung Pui Kun

Ms. Ung Pui Kun currently serves as a Member of the MUST University Council. Before the 1999 handover, she was awarded the Medal of Merit for Professions by the Macao Government; in 2009, she received the International Huaxia Medicine Society for Outstanding Individuals; and in 2013, she was awarded the Medal of Merit for Philanthropy by the MSAR Government. In April 2015, she was appointed by the State Council as a Member of the 2nd Expert Advisory Committee of the State Council's Leading Group for Deepening the Reform of the Medical and Health System. Since 2020, Ms. Ung has officially served as the Director of Kiang Wu Hospital, concurrently holding the positions of Vice-Chairman and Secretary-General of the Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association. She actively promotes hospital reform, innovation, and the improvement of medical service quality. Ms. Ung is actively involved in social activities, having served as a Member of the Chief Executive Election Committee for the 1st to the 6th terms of the MSAR, and as a Deputy to the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress. She served consecutively as a Member of the 10th to the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (2003-2023), Vice-Supervisory Board Chairperson of the Macao Basic Law Promotion Association, and holds advisory roles in multiple medical and social organizations, achieving distinction in the development of social healthcare and education.


Su Hsiang Mei

Ms. Su Hsiang Mei currently serves as a Member of the MUST University Council, a Member of the MUST Foundation Administrative Committee, the Administrative Director of the Macao Translational Medicine Center, and the Principal of the Macao Educational Centre of Culture and Arts. She is a renowned Macao media personality, educator, and social activist, long committed to promoting the development of education, culture, healthcare, and public welfare in Macao. She has held positions including Member of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Executive Committee, Member of the All-China Youth Federation, Member of the China Society for Promotion of the Guangcai Program Executive Committee, Member of the CPPCC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee, Member of the CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and Standing Committee Member of the CPPCC Zhongshan City Committee. During the 1999 Macao Handover celebrations, she represented Macao media personalities as the host for a China Central Television (CCTV) gala and has been invited multiple times to host major CCTV events and handover anniversary celebrations. As one of the founding members of the MUST University Council, she actively promotes exchanges and cooperation with Mainland universities. She participates in numerous public welfare and investment promotion projects, generously donates to education and social welfare causes, and actively promotes scientific research translation and industrial development in the field of holistic health.

Ms. Linda Chih-Ling Chen

Ms. Linda Chih-Ling Chen currently serves as a Member of the University Council of MUST, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Cultural Development Fund of the Macao SAR Government, Director of The Macau Chamber of Commerce, Honorary President of the Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association, Vice Director-General of the International Confucian Association, Standing Committee member of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Macao Director of the sixth Board of Directors of China Overseas Friendship Association, Executive Vice President of the Friendship Association of Macau Members of Provincial Committees of the CPPCC, Director-General of the Chinese Culture Development Promotion Association of Macao, and President of the Macau Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture Association, among other positions. Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, under her leadership in development and operation, became the only resorts worldwide honored with six Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) Five-Star awards in 2025. She actively fulfills corporate social responsibility, embodies the mission of loving the country and loving Macao, and has achieved prolific results in areas including youth education, entrepreneurship and innovation, culture, arts, sports, rural revitalization, assistance for disadvantaged groups, special needs medical education, and the promotion of Chinese culture.
