The 2015 TOSOK International Tourism Annual Conference titled as “The Innovation of Tourism Contents and the Role of Casino Industry” was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 1 to 3 July this year. The conference was to provide opportunities to bring together international researchers, educators, postgraduate students, government officers, and industry practitioners interested in tourism, leisure, and hospitality management and to share the latest research, methodologies, and case studies.
Dr. Sung Hee Park (Ally), Assistant Professor of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management presented her co-authored research entitled, “Investigating Tourists’ Casino Retention: Cross-Cultural Comparison with Chinese and Westerners," and the research paper won the First Best Paper Award in the conference. Dr. Park has strong research interests in the field of casino and hospitality market strategies and consumer behavior. This award-winning paper was about investigating tourists' retention of Macau casinos by measuring their motivations and perceived service quality of casinos in the cross-cultural context.
