On February 24, 2016, 17 students of the Bachelor of Hotel Management Program visited the Pousada de Mong-Ha, the teaching hotel of the Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT). The visit was accompanied by Prof. Philip Xie, Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Ms. Brenda Yang, Program Director of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, Ms. Miranda Lam, Head of General Affairs Office, and Ms. Queenie Chiang, Assistant Administrative Officer of General Affairs. Under the guidance of Ms. Ivy Un, Front Office Functional Head of Pousada de Mong-Ha, the group visited the suite as well as the facilities. Ms. Un provided detailed introduction of the managing concepts of IFT in regard to environment, facilities, operations and management of their guest house. The field trip has broadened students’ perspective in hotel management, and has gained a better and deeper understanding of the hotel management program.
