On 8th May, 2018, the FHTM F & B students visited MGM Grand Cotai. The tour was organized by the MUST Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Planning (CECP). 40 F& B students led by Miss Amy, Chan Sao Chai, Assistant Administrative Officer of CECP and Assistant Professor of FHTM, Dr. Pai Chen Kuo, visited the newly opened MGM COTAI. The visit was greatly supported by the MGM Human Resources Department and students received warm welcome from the Executive. The visit mainly focused on the logistics of the kitchen operation and touring of the staff training facilities as well as the restaurants. During the visit of the kitchen, the Executive Chef explained the procedures of food handling including food inspection, staff grooming, food storing and the complete production process. Students were impressed by the meticulous, professionalism and rigorous of the entire operation process. Lastly, the HR Department introduced the staff cafeteria and logistics related operation procedures. The entire visit lasted for two hours. From this visit, the students gained knowledge which helped them to get familiar with future working environment and prepared them for future employment.
