On March 6th and 7th , 2019, Professor Bruce Prideaux from Central Queensland University was invited to deliver two lecture at MUST. The topics were “Destination Research frontier in next two decades”, and “Moving into the future: trends that may affect development”. In the lecture, Professor Bruce Prideaux shared his opinion about how technology change will influence tourism development, what kind of opportunities and change will destination face in the future. He also used climate change and artificial intelligence as example to explain the influence of new technology on tourism. Besides, Professor Bruce Prideaux also explained how to make research, how to forecast the future trend to students. The atmosphere of the lecture was lively and pleasant, students learned new knowledge and also understood more clearly about the future development of tourism.
