Guest Lecture: “Developing a successful career: Lesson learnt”
Learning & Advancement Director of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace Mr. Timothy Millett

On March 26th, 2019, Learning & Advancement Director Timothy Millett from Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace was invited to deliver a lecture for the FHTM students who have taken the course of HMGT1302 Hotel Operations and those who were interested in the topic at MUST. The topic was “Developing a successful career: Lessons learnt”. In this lecture, Mr. Timothy Millett invited students to express and he then explained the different aspects of success and the eight traits needed to build a successful career including (1) Passion; (2) Work; (3) Focus; (4) Push; (5) Ideas; (6) Improve; (7) Serve; (8) Persist. During the lecture, Mr. Timothy Millet used a lot of successful persons or celebrities to illustrate each trait. Finally, he shared his valuable work experience with the students and encouraged them to strive for a greater accomplishment and self-worth. He emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and continual improvement. The atmosphere of the lecture was lively and pleasant, and students learned a lot about the factors leading to develop a successful career. The messages delivered to the students will benefit their future career development and self improvement.
