On October 30th 2020, led by the Assistant Professor Dr. FENG,YAN, a group students from Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management visited the 10th China (Macau) International Automobile Exposition. Outstanding graduates Alumni Mr. Wang Songhao and Ms. Zhu Xinyi were invited to give introduction to the students during the visit.
The Macau Auto Expo has always been adhering to the exhibition tenet of "brand, bridge, and opportunity", and insists on the "differentiated" exhibition route. This year, Macau Auto Show invited more than 100 international auto brands and related companies to participate in the exhibition. Nearly 400 cars are displayed during the period. There were a variety of special exhibition areas to promote Macau's automobile culture, including Chinese independent brands area, new car manufacturers area, a luxury car exhibition area, a commercial vehicle exhibition area, and an imported brand exhibition area, auto body technology exhibition area, auto parts & supplies exhibition area, etc. Besides, the exhibition adopted the online and offline media integrated mode to present comprehensive media coverage of the exhibition from multiple perspectives.
In this event, students actively communicated with teachers and alumni, and benefited a lot. Not only understood the current development situation of Macau's automobile industry, but also learned about how the exhibition industry responded to the epidemic crisis. The activity enriched students' professional knowledge in the field of MICE, cultivate students' interest toward this industry, and trigger their enthusiasm for learning. Most importantly, it helped to guide the students with their future career development.
