FHTM Held a Culinary Demonstration Workshop with Chef Daniel Lai from Wynn Food & Beverage Academy

The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (M.U.S.T.) and the Wynn Food & Beverage Academy co-hosted a Culinary Demonstration Workshop with Chef Daniel Lai, Manager of Wynn F&B Academy (Culinary) on October 29, 2021, at O203. Chef Daniel Lai was invited to share his cooking techniques and experience in the culinary field. The event attracted students majoring in Food & Beverage Management (BFBM). This workshop was sponsored by the Macao Foundation.

Prof. Ben K. Goh gave a warm welcome speech to the guests and said M.U.S.T. has kept enriching the students’ learning and experiences, and enhancing their professional skills through offering or holding all kinds of courses, master lectures, and culinary workshops. The University expects that through these events students may have the opportunities to appreciate and learn from the talent of top chefs, and to know more about the frontier information of the industry as well as to broaden their horizons in the culinary field.

Chef Daniel Lai Demonstrates His Signature Dishes

Chef Daniel Lai is a professional chef with over 20 years of experience and knowledge in western cuisines. He has worked in many 5 star hotels in Hong Kong and Macao, and also many large high profile events like the Macao 1999 “Handover Dinner”. Chef Daniel Lai is a Certified Mentor from the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), a Certified Food Safety Professional by the Sino-American Logistics Council, and a Servsafe Instructor & Proctor. At the sharing session, Chef Daniel Lai demonstrated his signature dishes Portuguese Seafood Rice and Prawn Lacassa. The students were impressed with Chef Daniel Lai’s exquisite cooking skills, showing their interests in the cooking demo and culinary art.
