On August 7th and August 8th, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) at Macau University of Science and Technology(MUST), was invited to visit Glion and Les Roches in Switzerland for in-depth discussions on the latest trends in hotel management and the tourism industry.
This visit marks an important step in establishing a collaborative relationship between the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Macau University of Science and Technology and the Swiss institutions. As a prominent faculty of MUST, the FHTM has been committed to providing high-quality education and training to cultivate professionals who meet the needs of the hotel and tourism industry. Glion, as one of Switzerland's renowned hotel management institutions, ranks fifth globally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject. Les Roches is recognized as one of the world's top hotel management institutions, ranking fourth globally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject.
On August 7th, Assistant Professor Dr. Feng Yan, as the program director of the faculty, represented the FHTM and visited Glion. She had the opportunity to explore the school's advanced teaching facilities and practical venues. During discussions with the faculty members of Glion, she shared her experiences and insights on teaching hotel management and the tourism industry. In-depth discussions were held on teaching methods and curriculum design, and preliminary exploration was made on student exchange programs to enhance cooperation and exchange between the two schools.

Subsequently, on August 8th, Assistant Professor Feng Yan visited Les Roches. She had visited the school's student dormitories, training kitchens, and simulated hotels, gaining a deeper understanding of the school's teaching environment and student training programs. Extensive discussions were conducted on the latest trends in hotel management and the tourism industry, as well as potential future collaborative projects.

This visit not only strengthens the collaboration between FHTM and Glion and Les Roches schools but also builds a bridge for academic exchanges between the two regions. This international collaboration will provide more learning opportunities and a platform for international exchanges for the faculty and students of the faculty, while promoting teaching and research cooperation between the two schools and enhancing the educational standards of the global hotel and tourism industry.
The FHTM will continue to dedicate itself to collaborations with internationally renowned institutions, continuously improving the quality of education and student training.
