The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) hosted a roundtable meeting on 21st October 2013 to share knowledge on experiential learning in hospitality and tourism. Following a delightful lunch at MUST Training Restaurant known as The Seasons the group spent the afternoon doing presentations on what their respective universities were doing in this field followed by an open discussion. The speakers were: Prof Michael Hitchcock (MUST); Prof Brian King (Hong Kong Polytechnic University); Dr Amy So (University of Macau); Ms Hester Cheang (Macau Polytechnic Institute; Prof Wu-Chung Wu (National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism); Prof Liu (Beijing International Studies University); Dr Anthony Wong (Institute for Tourism). The group agreed to form a consortium and to look into having more roundtable meetings and to participate in the conference on experiential learning that will be organized by FHTM in May 2014.
