In September 2013, FHTM students were invited to attend a series of events related to hospitality and tourism industry, which not only enriched their professional knowledge but was also a showcase to the public for the image of our faculty. From 17th to 19th, September, the 2nd Global Tourism Economy Forum was held in Macau, which attracted an audience of around one thousand, including some twenty FHTM students, who participated in the opening ceremony, networking luncheon and, most important, seminars with tourism officials, industry representatives and experts. September 27th marked the 34th World Tourism Day, and on that day, the 50-year-old International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) held a seminar under the topic “Winning Meetings Business – What does it take?”, as one session of this year’s ICCA Asia Pacific Client/Supplier Business Workshop. Under the lead of Ms. Brenda Yang, some forty FHTM students participated in this seminar, as both volunteers and audience, and got involved in intensive exchange and interaction with industry elites from Asia Pacific region.
