Dr. Wen-Tsung Chen, Dean of International Affairs Office and Associate Professor of Department of Food and Beverage Management, and Dr, Tsong-Zen Liu, Chair and Associate Professor of Department of Food and Beverage Management, from National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, visited Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management on February 6th, 2014. They were warmly received by Prof. Shuguang Zhang, Standing Vice President of MUST, Prof. Michael Hitchcock, Dean of FHTM and Associate Prof. Ivan Lai, Assistant Dean of FHTM, as well as other faculty representatives. As the only public Taiwanese university specialized in hospitality and tourism, NKUHT is making great efforts to nurture qualified personnel for industry and to strengthen its abilities in innovation. During this visit, hosts and guests exchanged views on topics such as experiential learning, undergraduate exchange, as well as sending excellent graduates from NKUHT to postgraduate programs in FHTM. What was also discussed was sending faculty members to attend conferences held by each other. Both sides expressed high expectations on future cooperation in teaching and research.
