Delegation of Hong Kong Direct Subsidy Scheme Schools Council Visits MUST

A delegation led by Dr. Chiu Cheung Ki, Chairman of Hong Kong Direct Subsidy Scheme Schools Council (DSSSC) visited Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) on April 17th, 2015, and was warmly received by Chair Professor Liu Liang, President of MUST, Professor Chan Lai Kow, Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development of MUST, and Administration Officer Mr. Kwong Ying Wa. The two parties exchanged ideas extensively on educational philosophy, mission and vision, as well as recent progress of MUST.

During the meeting, President Liu first welcomed all the DSSSC delegates before went on to introduce MUST’s educational philosophy especially the internationalization strategy, the teaching reform and research achievement, graduate outcomes including both employment and further study outcomes in the recent years. Dr. Chiu Cheung Ki, Chairman of DSSSC was very positive about MUST’s educational achievements and development prospects and hoped that MUST could collaborate with high schools to carry out the Principles’ Recommendation Scheme.

Before their meeting, the delegation visited some facilities at MUST including A+ Studio of Faculty of Humanities and Arts (exhibit area showcasing works by students), the MUST Lunar and Planetary Science Laboratory which is the partner laboratory of the Key Laboratory of Lunar and Deep Space Exploration, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine of MUST.
