June 13, 2016, Beijing Hong Kong and Macau College Student Forex Investment Invitation Tournament by FDT(Hong Kong) drew to a close. In this tournament, the Flash team including Wang Yiming, Liu Yuan, Zheng Heng, School of Business, won the second prize, and Li Yujia, Hu Kuan, Li Jikun build up the DeltaGo team that won the third prize. Their instructor, Head of Department of Accounting and Finance, Associate Professor Liu Chengkun and Assistant Professor Lin Yongjia received “Excellent teachers Award” respectively. Macau University of Science and Technology won the “best organization Award”.
The competition lasted for more than two months, including online foreign exchange trade and investment report presentation. Online trade was evaluated by ROI (Return on Investment) and other factors. The presentation was assessed by trading strategy, position management, risk control, and summarization. Teams from MUST won the 2nd and 3rd prize in the competition.
The competition not only applied theory in practice, but also helped students understand the foreign exchange market better. At the same time, this tournament promotes communication among students and teachers from Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau, and provides many opportunities to cooperate.
