MUST Ranks No. 72 in the 2013 Cross-Straits Four Regions Universities Ranking

news default On 24th, October, 2013, the Shanghai Jiaotong University Research Center announced the Mainland Cross-Straits Four Regions top ranking universities. Two of the Macau Universities were on the list. This is the third year in a row in which MUST ranks as one of the top hundred universities, and jumps from No. 91 to No. 72.

The Cross-Straits Four Regions universities ranking refers to areas within Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau which aims at promoting the top ranking universities globally and which also serves student recruitment within these areas.

The Universities Ranking uses an international comparability evaluation standard. The standard evaluation includes academic matters, talent, research, teaching quality as well as institutional resources. Since 2011, this is the third time that the Shanghai Jiaotong University Research Center has announced the ranking.

Chair Professor Liu, President of MUST acknowledges that to rank continually among the top hundred universities is a great inspiration and encouragement. The university will be focusing on two main keys: “Quality” and “Creativity”. Through the development of excellent education, research, and social service, MUST is moving towards becoming an influential university internationally.
